How do I download and set up Brief AI?

Brief AI is available on the Apple App Store. Simply search for "Brief AI," download the app, and start using it immediately without needing to create an account.

Is Brief AI free to use?

Yes, Brief AI offers a free tier with core features like document scanning, basic analysis, and text recognition. For advanced features such as AI-generated contextual responses, document translation, action extraction, and custom receiver configurations, you can upgrade to Brief AI Pro through a subscription.

What languages does Brief AI support?

Brief AI supports text recognition and translation in over 50 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Russian, and many more. The full list of supported languages can be found in the app settings.

Document Scanning

How accurate is the text recognition?

Brief AI uses advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to achieve high accuracy rates. Accuracy depends on document quality, lighting, and text clarity. For best results, ensure good lighting and hold the camera steady.

Can I scan multiple pages at once?

Yes! Brief AI allows you to scan multiple pages in a single session. Simply tap the "+" button after each page scan to add more pages to your document. When finished, tap "Done" to process all pages together.

Are my scanned documents saved on your servers?

No, your documents are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers. If you have cloud sync enabled, encrypted copies are stored securely in your cloud account. You can also save documents locally on your device.

What document formats does Brief AI support?

Brief AI supports scanning documents using your camera, importing from your photo gallery, or selecting PDF files. Processed documents can be saved as images or exported as PDF files.

Document Analysis

What does the document analysis include?

Brief AI provides a comprehensive analysis of your documents including: a summary of the content, full translation to your preferred language, extraction of actionable items (deadlines, payments, forms, responses needed), sender and receiver classification, and document type classification. It also extracts beneficiaries and receivers as interactive tags, letting you quickly filter or organize your files. You can even configure a custom list of prioritized receivers in the settings.

What is the Generate Response feature?

The Generate Response feature (available for Pro users) allows you to create professional contextual responses to documents like letters or invoices. You can customize the length, tone, language, and intent, making it easier than ever to draft the perfect reply.

Cloud Sync & Storage

How does cloud sync work?

With cloud sync enabled, your scanned documents are automatically backed up to your personal cloud storage (iCloud for iOS). This ensures you never lose important documents and can access them across multiple devices.

What happens if my iCloud storage is full?

If your iCloud storage is full, new documents will continue to be saved locally on your device, but they won't be backed up to the cloud until you free up iCloud space. You'll receive a notification when this happens.

Subscription & Billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's App Store settings. On iOS, go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled directly by the App Store. Please contact Apple support for refund requests.

What payment methods do you accept?

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. We accept all payment methods supported by this platform, including credit cards and debit cards.

Privacy & Security

Is my data secure?

Troubleshooting

The app is running slowly. What can I do?

Try these steps: 1) Close other background apps, 2) Restart Brief AI, 3) Check for app updates, 4) Restart your device, 5) Clear the app cache in your device settings. If the issue persists, please contact support.

My document won't scan properly. What should I do?

Ensure adequate lighting, hold the camera steady, and position the document flat. Avoid shadows and glare. The app will automatically detect document edges, but you can manually adjust the corners if needed. For best results, use the flash in low-light conditions.

How do I restore my purchases or premium subscription?

Since Brief AI does not require an account, your purchases are tied directly to your Apple account. Simply go to settings and tap "Restore Purchases" to restore your premium access on any new device using the same app store account.
